![]() What do you think of when people talk about Holiday Colors? Red? Green? Gold? Silver? Retailers are busy with their own color scheme - Grey Thursday (otherwise known as THANKSGIVING), Black Friday (which is also National Buy Nothing Day - how's that for confusing), and now Green Monday. "Green Monday" was coined by online retailer Ebay to describe its best sales day in December, now commonly known as the second Monday of December. We should mention Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday, and Super Saturday so no days feel left out! My point, you may ask? Simply to be aware, and possibly to give you permission to not to participate in the consumer hype these days create. Far too often color-hype deals are more like duds - and they either sit on your shelf or your gift recipient's shelf. Well thought out gift giving plans are generally better for both the giver and the receiver! |
