Meet Heather
Heather is the owner of We Love Messes, a locally owned cleaning company serving Bemidji and the surrounding communities.
Before We Love Messes, Heather started her first cleaning business, Magical Maids, as a single mom to her daughter. At the time, she was working as a nurse manager during staffing shortages, with shifts that could stretch 16–24 hours. She wanted to build something that allowed her to provide for her family while still being present for her daughter.
In 2021, Heather purchased We Love Messes and brought her experience, values, and heart for helping people into the business. Since then, Heather’s family and business have both grown. She is now a mom of two and continues to build We Love Messes around the values that started it all: family, flexibility, trust, and helping people feel cared for in their spaces.
Heather is passionate about creating a company culture where people feel supported, safe, and valued. She believes work should be built around real people, real lives, and real needs — not just corporate expectations.
Outside of work, Heather loves gardening, animals, cooking, art, and spending time with her family.
